Mr. Ashley focuses his practice on insurance defense litigation, with an emphasis on the construction industry and all areas of personal injury. Mr. Ashley has litigated suits involving residential and commercial construction defects, personal injury; including premises liability and dram shop liability, as well as insurance coverage litigation. Mr. Ashley has litigated matters before State and Federal courts within South Carolina, as well as the American Arbitration Association and State mediators. Since being admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 2007, Mr. Ashley has been a member of the Construction Law Section and the Torts and Insurance Practice Section. Additionally, Mr. Ashley has been a lecturer for the National Business Institute on topics such as Insurance Coverage Litigation and Personal Injury Defense Litigation.

Education

Mr. Ashley graduated from the College of Charleston where he received degrees in Political Science and Psychology and earned memberships in the Political Science and Psychology honor societies. Mr. Ashley received his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he was on the Dean's List and was the recipient of the CALI Awards for Constitutional Law and Statutory Interpretation. Prior to law school, Mr. Ashley worked in the insurance industry providing consultation to regional builders on all issues of commercial liability protection.
